iPad

Whoever said, "money can't buy happiness," well, that probably made a lot more sense before the iPad.

I won an iPad at a conference for work and a company was doing a random drawing for the precious. Hands down the greatest contest I have ever won.

Here is where the phrase "hands down" comes from:

"The term dates back to the mid-19th century and the genteel world of British horse racing. Back then, a jockey who found himself way ahead as he approached the finish line would relax his grip on the reins and drop his hands. Not as confrontational as a spiked football, but still a bit of gestural in-your-face-ness. By the late 19th century, the idiom had been extended to non-racing contexts, and it remains in frequent use today."

  1. Congrats on your win--how fun! I won $50 worth of wallpaper once, but that certainly pales next to an Ipad--meep.
However, I'm wondering who took that picture and was that while driving??
